Impishly Clever or Totally Oblivious?
I have just opened an invitation to the local Susan G. Komen affiliate's Pink Tie Gala. The slogan? "Bouncing Back, Bounding Forward." Do they get that it's funny to mention bouncing and bounding and breasts on the same invitation?
To make things even... either weirder or more hilarious, I can't decide... the front flap of the invitation features a pink bouncing ball the size of the quarter, which is embossed such that one may "squish" the rosy disk down and up.

M'y Hea'd Jus't Explode'd
This email just hit my inbox, courtesy of one of my mother's friends.
"Great! We look forward to seeing you on the 30th. What a great group – the Young’s, Smith’s, Humphries’, Fowler’s, Lee’s and Hundahl’s. Yea!"
I want to know the thought process when she came to Humphries and decided to add the apostrophe but not go for plural.

Now Taking Requests
We have a pair of gas-guzzling, duck-maiming friends who enjoy a good family Christmas letter and a spicy hot curry or vindaloo. They're also devoted Pnutblog followers, so here's a shout out to 'em (BCS)!

Cedar Creek, Part 2
We gave Cedar Creek another shot (see Restaurant Review) this afternoon. The verdict - go for the selection of coffees and beers and for the nice outdoor patio and unqiue decor, not for the food or for the service. When you do go, just order at the bar - we sat at our table for 30 minutes before giving up on ever seeing a server. DH's burger was so well done it was charred. My shrimp po-boy was at best adequate during its finest moments (its finest moments being the two bites that included dressing.) We also had to go back to the bar to get our own silverware and condiment caddy. We still think we will go to Cedar Creek, but we're not going to eat at Cedar Creek.
