CNN is reporting that in the early morning hours, voters in Virginia waiting in line outside their polling place were rained on. When voters were given their paper ballots inside, the ballots became soaked, and the scanning machines were unable to read them. So poll officials had voters place their moist ballots into a box so they could dry out for awhile and then be scanned.
After about an hour of doing this, someone finally suggested that maybe the better approach was to DRY OFF THE VOTERS.
