Lesson Learned

I had the pleasure of babysitting my cousin's 4-year-old boy today. We had an awesome time playing baseball, tasting every edible plant in my garden, watching The Incredibles, and making the cats go in circles with the laser dot. After a lunch of, well, soda and chips (I'm not perfect) we headed to the park to hit some serious play equipment. Not being a super-experienced playground goer in recent years, I wore the Crocs I'd had on for gardening. Funny thing - the holes that make the foam sandals so comfy and breathable in the yard make them HELL in the pea-gravel playground pit. It's hard to chase a four-year-old with rocks in your shoes. Just FYI.
